Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions?

Everything you need to know about working with Odd Berry Studio — pricing, process, and logistics.

How much does longarm quilting cost?

Edge-to-edge pantograph quilting is priced at $0.03 per square inch, with a $60 minimum per quilt. Basting is $0.01 per square inch ($50 minimum). Batting supply is $26 per yard cut to size, backing preparation starts at $10, and binding ranges from $0.10 to $0.30 per linear inch depending on the finish. A quote is always provided before any work begins — no surprises.

How long does it take?

Turnaround is usually 1–3 weeks depending on the current queue. If you have a target date in mind — a gift, a special occasion — get in touch and I'll do my best to work with it.

Do I need to bring my own batting and backing?

Not necessarily. I stock Quilter's Dream Select — a lovely mid-loft 100% cotton batting — at $26 per yard, cut to the nearest inch so you only pay for what you need. You're also welcome to bring your own. For backing, I offer a prep service: just bring raw yardage and I'll seam and square it up for you. Not sure how much you need? Just ask.

What size quilts do you work with?

I can quilt anything where at least one dimension is under 108 inches — so everything from baby quilts through to king-size. Not sure if your quilt qualifies? Send me the measurements and I'll let you know.

Where are you located, and how do I drop off my quilt?

I'm based in the east end of Toronto, ON. Quilts are dropped off and picked up in person — drop-off is subway accessible. Get in touch first and I'll share the details.

How do I pay?

I accept e-transfer, credit and debit, and cash.

How do I get started?

Send me the dimensions of your quilt top and any ideas about the finish you're after. I'll reply with a quote and my current availability. Use the contact form or the button below.
